When I was in the 6th grade, my vision started to change and I couldn't see the blackboard from my desk in class. I used to squint my eyes real tight to see and by the end of the day I had a dreadful headache. I was afraid to tell my parents or teacher that something was happening to my vision. I finally asked the teacher if I could move up to the front of the class to a table in front of the black board. I used the excuse that the other students were too loud and I couldn't hear. Thank goodness she was smart enough to know something was wrong. She contacted my parents and told them to have a chat with me. I finally got glasses and contacts even though I didn't want them. At that age being called 4-eyes is not fun!

I have been wearing glasses or contacts for 19 years and have disliked every minute! I had to wear the hard lenses so sleeping in them was out. Talk about hating the wind!! I could never own a convertible, or go to a ballpark without getting dust and dirt in my eyes.

LASIK surgery has changed my life! I am so grateful to Dr. Matzkin and the entire staff at Eye Sight Laser Center. They made the entire experience awesome!! They really took care of me (and my eyes). I was nervous about the surgery but as soon as I got to the Center, they made me feel relaxed and comfortable! I would recommend the surgery and Eye Sight Laser Center to everyone I know!

It's been wonderful, especially to be able to read without the use of glasses after 12 years plus!!!! Both Dr. Matzkin and the staff treated me great, I have recommended them to all of my friends and relatives!

My name is Wendy Strickland and I have been a registered nurse for 14 years. I am presently living in Meridian, MS. I have worked with many physicians and have been a patient on more than one occasion. I can honestly say I've never been surrounded by a friendlier, more professional group than at the EyeSight Laser Center. I drove 4 1/2 hours to see Dr. Matzkin and it was more than worth it. The procedure was quick and painless and I now have 20/15 vision in both eyes!! No more contacts or glasses!! I LOVE IT!! Dear Dr. Matzkin,

Just a brief email to thank you once more for performing LTK surgery on my right eye and making it possible to be able to read again without glasses or contacts. It is like a miracle!!! In addition, this surgery was so important to me because of my disabling migrane headaches brought on by having to wear glasses or contacts.

As a Police Office on the S.W.A.T. Team, my vision is very important. I've worn the proverbial 'coke bottle' thick glasses since the first grade. Last year I decided to look into LASIK surgery. I shopped around, comparing service and price, and after an extensive search I decided to go with Dr. matzkin and Eyesight laser Center. Looking back now, I couldn;t have made a better choice. Dr. matzkin is different from any doctor I've visited. He's always on time, and he never left me waiting in the lobby. I didn't feel rushed during the examinations, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. His staff conducted themselves in a professional manner and were always pleasant and helpful. The surgery was painless and it only took one minute and forty three seconds to erase thirty years of bad vision.

When I arrived home after the surgery I threw my glasses in the trash. My vision was crystal clear and my days of poor fitting, foggy, scratched glasses are just a bad memory. The best feeling in the world is looking at a arack of sunglasses and picking out any pair I want - then wearing them home. I have a 12 year old son, and I've already told him I will pay for his LASIK surgery when he turns 18. Thank you for the fantastic work.
