LASEK patient testimonial:
WOW! Is all I can say when I think about the joys of being able
to see without corrective lenses. My goodness. I heard so many
people say good things about it but my personal experience is
the proof that I needed to make me a believer.
I had my procedure done 8-6-04. I was so nervous. Dr. Matzkin
assured me that I would be fine and he expected great results
from my procedure. The total procedure took maybe 25 seconds in
each eye with no pain at all (after the numbing drops). Dr. Matzkin
came highly recommended from a co-worker who raved about him so
much that I decided that I needed to try him out. ALL I CAN SAY
ABOUT HIM IS ..... MARVELOUS.
I am so happy with the outcome. My vision is still improving but
when I went back on Monday 8-9-04, my vision was 20/30. I am not
sure what my vision was before but I was legally blind and could
not drive without glasses or contacts. I drove to work this morning
with no issue at all and I attempted to push my glasses up on
my face 2 times... only to realize that I no longer wear glasses.
I will refer all of my friends to your practice. THANKS SO MUCH!

After wearing glasses
for 25 years, I never imagined that I would be able to see clearly
without glasses or contacts. I couldn't be more pleased with the
outcome of my LASIK surgery! The procedure was quick, painless
and the results almost immediate! I woke up the next morning and
could actually see the time on the alarm clock without getting
out of bed.
It was clear
from my experience at Eyesight Laser that Dr. Matzkin and his
staff are well trained professionals that not only take their
jobs very seriously, but also care about the patients they serve.
I felt that everyone at EyeSight Laser Center was genuinely concerned
about my well being. If you have ever considered LASIK surgery,
I strongly encourage you to get the free consultation. And if
you're a good candidate, you couldn't pick a better place than
Eyesight Laser to help you get rid of the glasses or contacts!

Eyesight Atlanta
has a beautiful, clean, efficient office. As soon as I walked
into the door I could feel it. The patients in the waiting room
were only too eager to tell me their experience. Most of them
were completely happy experiences (not as in other offices). When
I went back for my examination the staff was willing to answer
my every question and put me at ease. I met the surgeon and was
able to discuss with him my fears. I talked to patients who had
had the surgery the day before. I would advise people considering
this surgery to go to several offices and compare as I did. You
only get one pair of eyes.
Because I had worn
hard lenses and gas perms for so long it was necessary for me
stop wearing them and wear glasses until my eyes resumed their
"normal" shape. In my case this was about 2 months.
But it was worth it. Believe me.
On Jan 8, 2001 I had my surgery to repair
my eyes. I felt so pampered when they were preparing me for the
surgery. They went over everything with me telling me what to
expect. What you feel is uncomfortable pressure at first and then
a few seconds of holding still for the laser. When it was over
looking up I could already see things I could not before the operation
see.
After the surgery it was like looking out
through a smear of vasoline. I was told to go home and sleep.
My surgery was about 11:00am. I went home and went to bed. About
2:30 in the afternoon the doorbell rang and I woke up. I looked
around and I could see perfectly.
Yesterday,
Jan 9, 2001, I went back in for my one day followup. Right now
my vision checks out at 20/25. I am told it could get better.
You pay but a small price for this service. Dr. Matzkin is providing
a wonderful present to those who come to his office. His gift
will last you a lifetime and is priceless. His skill and expertise
will give you back something lost to you a long time ago, your
perfect vision. Thank you, Dr. Matzkin.

It's been almost
two months since my LASIK surgery and still, every morning when
I wake up, I am thankful of the changes such the procedure has
had on my life.
After suffering
through bad vision for over twenty years, it's surprising what
one gets used to: the headaches behind your ears from glasses,
the constant cleaning, the scratchy eyes from dry contacts, always
trying to have saline solution nearby, and especially the absolute
agony when you get an eyelash under your contact. Now, those irritations
all gone! The fact that I'm seeing better than 20-20 combined
is just icing on the cake!
I'd been
considering LASIK for a while and had heard the various cut-rate
clinic ads on the radio and seen them in the paper. However, this
is a procedure that will effect you for the rest of your life
- something for which you only want to put yourself into the hands
of the best.
EyeSight Laser
is the best - you can tell by the people: Dr. Matzkin, Dr. Etkin,
Jennifer, Melissa, and all the rest of the gang. They really care
about what they do. I know from first hand experience. I was extremely
lucky, having won the treatment at a 96 Rock Listener Lunch. Yet,
despite being a "non-paying" customer, everyone on the
staff bent over backwards to answer my questions and ease my concerns
- and their care didn't end when I walked out the door. Dr. Matzkin
even came in on the weekend just to check my eyes when I rubbed
them by accident right after the surgery.
You don't
see that type of commitment, care, and concern unless people truly
believe in what they do. Dr. Matzkin and EyeSight Laser are special
- they not only earned my trust, they earned my gratitude.

About
30 years ago (while in 2nd grade), I was introduced to my first
pair of glasses. Over the years I have broken, lost, or worn out
more glasses and contact lenses than I would care to admit (mostly
in my younger days when getting hit in the face with the soccer
ball). In less than 30 minutes at the EyeSight Laser Center, my
30 years of poor eyesight is now a distant memory. I still catch
myself trying to adjust my glasses during the day or realizing
when I wake up in the middle of the night that I slept in my contact
lenses only to remember that I NOW HAVE 20/20 VISION!
I was very envious
of my wife and our friends that have 'good' vision. My uncorrected
vision was 20/400, I could not even read the bedside clock unless
I was within 6 inches. I have followed the strides (and acronyms)
that corrective eye surgery has taken over the years. RK, PPK,
ABC, XYZ, you name it and I have read about it. It was not until
I heard about the LASIK procedure that I started to get really
excited.
I first heard about EyeSight Laser in a radio ad, www.eyesightatlanta.com.
That was pretty easy to remember I thought. I checked out the
web site as soon as I got home. I filled out the online patient
questionnaire form and shortly thereafter I had my consultation.
I was impressed
with EyeSight Laser when I first walked into the office. I liked
the openness of the office, no talking to a receptionist through
a sliding opaque glass window here. My first appointment lasted
a little over two hours, I had never had such a thorough eye examination.
The staff was very professional, courteous and their attention
to detail was impeccable. They KNEW that I would have a million
questions and gladly listened to and answered each of them.
I felt that Dr.
Matzkin and his staff really cared about my vision and only wanted
to perform the LASIK procedure if it was the right solution for
me. I scheduled the surgery for the very next week.
My goal was to
have surgery before our first son was born. What a great gift
to be able to see our new son without the need for glasses or
contacts (this would really be a blessing for those middle of
the night feedings). Well, he did not cooperate and I had to postpone
the surgery one week. The surgery, start to finish, lasted no
more that 30 minutes and that included all the preparation time.
I have had contacts that caused more discomfort than the surgery.
I was already seeing better immediately after surgery. I was able
to read the exit signs on GA400 during the ride home (via the
company provided car service, nice touch!).
It has now been
about 6 weeks since my surgery and I am still amazed and thankful
for EyeSight Laser every time I see my wife and newborn son!

Just
wanted to drop you a line to tell you how great I am doing. The
LASIK surgery is one of the best things I have ever had happen
to me! I do believe it is a miriacle of God's and he has blessed
Dr. Matzkin with the knowledge and ability to perform it.
Thank you so much
for giving me my vision. I can see things that I never saw before.
It is amazing to look out into my backyard and see the trees for
the first time. Before my surgery, the trees all blended together
and one would assume that's the way it is supposed to be. I can
not believe what I was missing. Now when I look out, I see each
tree individually with sharp crisp ends to each and every leaf.
I never new a leaf looked like that. Every object has a beginning
and an end and not just blending into each other.
I wake every morning
and thank God for my surgery and the wonderful results I have.
It has been one month and my eyes feel completely normal. All
my check ups are great! I love you all!!!
