Laser Vision Correction surgery is an outpatient procedure that takes less than 15 minutes to complete for most patients. Your entire visit will be completed in about 2 hours, as follows:
- Please arrive for your appointment at your scheduled time. You do not need to arrive earlier than scheduled.
- Upon arrival at our center, you will be asked to sign an Informed Consent.
- Payment is expected in full the day of surgery. For your convenience we accept the following:
- Cash (Exact amount only – we do not keep cash on premises)
- Local Bank or Certified Check made payable to EyeSight Laser Center.
- Financing (You must be pre-approved prior to your surgery date.)
- Credit Card: American Express, MasterCard or Visa only. (Note: If using a Check Card, please make sure your daily limit is sufficient for this purchase.)
- A one-day Post-op appointment will be made at this time. (The correct healing of your corneal flap will need to be checked.)
- You will be taken to our pre-op area for additional testing and dispensing of the preoperative medication.
- A staff technician will review the postoperative instructions that you will need to follow for the next several days.
- You will be prepped and readied for the surgery. The procedure itself is painless and no general anesthetic is necessary.
- Next, you will enter the Laser Suite and the procedure will be performed.
- After surgery, you will be monitored in the recovery room for approximately 15 minutes.
- Finally, you will be released. It will be necessary for you to keep your eyes closed for the next several hours. Rest as much as possible the first evening following surgery as this helps the eye heal more quickly.
